About The Role
In partnership with the Manager Internal Audit, the Principal Internal Auditor provides and assists in the delivery of efficient, effective and contemporary internal audit services which conform to the Institute of Internal Auditors International Professional Practices Framework (the IPPF Standards), are in accordance with the West Moreton Health (WMH) Internal Audit Charter and contributes to the continued development of the function's maturity, capacity and capability.
About You
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
* Knowledge of or ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of the functions and operations of West Moreton Health, as well as ability to interpret and apply legislation and policy applicable to a public sector Health Service Statutory Body.
* Ability to independently plan, conduct and manage complex operational, financial, compliance internal audit engagements within given timeframes and budget.
* Written and verbal communication skills suitable for writing internal audit reports and briefs, leading meetings with stakeholders and senior/executive management and participating in project board / steering committee / governance forum discussions.
* Research, analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to apply innovative ideas, the latest technologies, and new techniques to analyse and evaluate complex issues/problems to provide fit for purpose recommendations and advice.
* Ability to build and sustain productive working relationships with different stakeholders and clients and work effectively in a team environment, through excellent interpersonal skills including highly effective communication skills in both written and verbal formats.
