We are seeking an experienced finance leader to join Maitland City Council's Senior Leadership Team as Executive Manager Finance Services.
Location: Maitland, New South Wales. Full‐time.

Reporting to the Director Corporate Services, this role plays a key part in shaping Council's strategic direction and long‐term financial sustainability. Drawing on your leadership experience in financial management, you will oversee the delivery and governance of Council's adopted budget, ensuring strong financial performance, accountability, and compliance. You will also assume responsibility for all associated statutory reporting obligations.

About You
To be successful in this opportunity, we are seeking a highly capable leader with tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Finance or a related discipline coupled with qualifications as a Certified Practicing Accountant or Chartered Accountant.
You will bring substantial industry experience in a senior financial management position, or related discipline, with strong commercial acumen and a demonstrated ability to deliver on operational and strategic priorities.
Strong leadership experience is also required for this role, along with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels and drive efficient outcomes.
