Your Role
We are seeking a compassionate and organised
Training Support Coordinator
to provide comprehensive support to students, focusing on their academic progression, well-being and learning needs, including Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) support. In addition, you will manage the daily running of our student clinic (Hairdressing, Barbering, Beauty & Remedial Massage) and assist trainers in delivering quality educational experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Provide targeted learning support sessions to students, ensuring they progress academically and meet course requirements.
Monitor student attendance, identify at-risk students and intervene early to provide additional support.
Conduct regular welfare checks and provide pastoral care to students facing personal or academic challenges.
Oversee the student clinics, ensuring smooth operations and that students have access to practical learning opportunities.
Liaise with trainers to ensure they have the necessary support to deliver high-quality lessons and maintain student engagement.
Maintain adequate records in our systems and use data to make informed decisions.
Become a super user in systems like aXcelerate and Kitomba.
Requirements
Industry Experience
– Minimum of 2 years' hands-on experience in hairdressing or beauty industry (required).
Salon Management Experience
– At least 2+ years managing salon operations (required).
Industry Qualification (Preferred)
– Relevant qualifications in hairdressing, beauty, or a related field (preferred).
Training and Assessing Qualification (Preferred)
– Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE*****) or currently enrolled (preferred).
First Aid and Fire Warden Certification (Preferred)
– Current certifications or willingness to obtain.
Experience in providing student support, including LLN and pastoral care, is highly desirable.
