**The Role**
The Visits Coordinator will be required to work in a complex operating environment as part of the NCB which is headquartered in Adelaide. The position supports the implementation and delivery of continuous shipbuilding and will be an integral part of the Operations team within NCB.
- Assist with planning, coordination, facilitation and execution of visits of all levels.
- Assist with production of briefs and event plans.
- Assist with onsite industry engagement to organise access and appropriate security and escorts.
- Support liaison with business units for varying levels of involvement in visits.
- Support liaison with civilian agencies and organisations that may wish to conduct site visits.
- Conduct onsite visits where appropriate.
- Support liaison with foreign military and agencies for visits from overseas VIPs and dignitaries.
- Provide input to reports detailing upcoming events and visits.
- Assist with preparation of post activity reports.
**About our Team**
The Naval Construction Branch (NCB) is accountable for the assurance of ship construction, set-to-work and transit of vessels constructed at the Osborne Naval Shipyard and Henderson precinct. We are headquartered in Osborne, SA have ships build sites throughout Australia.
NCB is furthering Continuous Naval Shipbuilding and growing sovereign capability by overseeing the construction to ensure quality and standards are met, storing lessons learnt and developing standard shipbuilding procedures for construction. NCB will oversee the construction of many different Navy vessels including Offshore Patrol Vessels, Hunter Class Frigates, Young Endeavour, Mine Hunter Vessels, Evolved Cape Class, Pacific Patrol Boats, and Nuclear-powered submarines.
Working at NCB will enable you to be at the grassroots of Continuous Naval Shipbuilding, where you are part of a working shipyard, being able to see and contribute to the vessels delivered and used in Service by Navy. NCB currently has highly skilled and diverse shipbuilding experience which will be shared to grow your hands on construction knowledge.
You will work alongside Navy Personnel, Internal project management offices and Prime Contractors. The opportunity for technical staff to undertaken industry placement is also available.
