Job DescriptionLead and deliver complex high‐voltage engineering and design across multiple projects. Undertake hands‐on HV primary plant design, protection engineering, earthing, and power system studies. Produce and review calculations, specifications, drawings, reports, and technical documentation. Provide technical authority, structured review, and sign‐off of engineering deliverables. Ensure compliance with relevant standards, legislation, network requirements, and internal QA systems. Engage with clients, network service providers, and subcontractors to resolve technical matters. Support project planning, risk identification, and design coordination across multidisciplinary teams. Mentor and coach junior engineers to strengthen HV capability within the team. Contribute to internal tools, templates, design standards, and continuous improvement initiatives. Support tenders and provide technical input into scopes and proposals. The Successful ApplicantDegree‐qualified Electrical Engineer with extensive high‐voltage experience. Ideally 15+ years industry experience, including 10+ years in protection and power system detailed design. Strong capability across both primary HV design and secondary/protection engineering. Proficient with ETAP, PTW/SKM, DIgSILENT, SafeGrid, Cymcap, or similar power system software. Proven ability to deliver and technically review complex HV engineering projects. Strong analytical skills and deep understanding of HV standards and engineering methodologies. Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills. Confident mentoring juniors and contributing to a high‐performing engineering team. Values technical integrity, practical engineering solutions, and high‐quality outcomes.
