Administrative Assistant for Inflammatory Bowel Disease Research

Job Summary:

We are seeking an organized and proactive administrative assistant to provide exceptional support to the research team in our Inflammatory Bowel Disease service. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently under pressure.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing complex tasks, coordinating workloads, and liaising with hospital staff to ensure priorities are met efficiently. You will also provide confidential administrative support to the head of unit and consulting team, exercising sound judgment and authority to manage daily activities and priorities with minimal supervision.

This is a unique opportunity to make a real impact in healthcare administration, working closely with a dedicated team to deliver exceptional patient care through accurate data management, meeting coordination, and quality monitoring.

* Key Responsibilities:

o Provide exceptional administrative support to the research team, including managing schedules, coordinating meetings, and preparing presentations.

o Manage complex tasks, coordinate workloads, and liaise with hospital staff to ensure priorities are met efficiently.

o Exercise sound judgment and authority to manage daily activities and priorities with minimal supervision.

* Required Skills and Qualifications:

o Proven experience providing administrative support at a senior level, with high discretion and integrity.

o Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently under pressure.

o Ability to supervise staff, allocate work, and coordinate multiple tasks efficiently without supervision.

o High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, electronic diaries, and preparing presentations.

o Sound knowledge of office procedures, medical terminology, and commitment to EEO and Occupational Health and Safety principles.
