Overview
About This Role - This is an amazing role for someone early in their drafting career who is eager to learn, contribute, and develop within a high-performing team. Working closely with senior drafters, architects, project managers, and site teams, you will assist in delivering detailed, accurate documentation across modular, townhouse, and multi-residential developments.
* Prepare detailed construction drawings and documentation packages
* Assist in drafting modular and townhouse layouts, elevations, and sections
* Amend and update plans in accordance with client and consultant feedback
* Interpret architectural drawings, engineering details, and specifications
* Coordinate documentation with consultants (structural, civil, services, etc.)
* Ensure drawings comply with local building codes and regulations
* Support project teams through design development to construction issue
* Maintain drawing registers and version control
* Liaise with internal teams to resolve drafting and documentation queries
* Assist with preparation of DA, CDC, and construction certificate documentation (where applicable)
Requirements
* 1-2 years\' experience in residential construction drafting
* Experience working on townhouse, modular, or multi-residential projects highly regarded
* Relevant qualification in Drafting, Building Design, or similar
* Proficiency in Revit
* Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate documentation
* Understanding of Australian building codes and residential construction methods
* Strong communication skills and team-oriented mindset
* Must be locally based
