We are hiring an Electrician to maintain and repair automated stacking cranes, Bromma Spreaders, Straddles, yard gate automation systems, and other infrastructure. The role involves corrective and preventive maintenance on both automated and manual container handling equipment, ensuring safe, timely, and high‐quality work.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform planned and unplanned repairs, refurbishments, and preventative maintenance on container handling equipment in the field and workshop onsite.
* Ensure all electrical work complies with Australian Standards and manage High Voltage Isolation and Lock‐out/Tag‐out processes.
* Be available for rotating day and night shifts in line with the roster pattern.
* Accurately complete job and service records, daily Toolbox talks, crane pre‐start inspections, shift logs, and participate in SWMS, take‐5's, and risk assessments.
* Collaborate with specialist contractors and maintain a clean workspace in line with 5S principles.

What You Bring To The Role
* Unrestricted Australian Electrical License, Australian driver's licence, High‐Risk licence for Elevated Work Platform (EWP over 11m), and Working at Heights training (Forklift licence preferred).
* Extensive post‐apprenticeship experience with fault finding, repairs, and preventive maintenance on heavy plant, maritime, industrial cranes, or automated manufacturing.
* Strong knowledge of PLCs (Siemens TIA portal), Linux, TCP/IP networks, AC & DC Variable Speed Drives, Industrial Electric Motors up to 800 kW, Hydraulic Controls, and Profibus/CAN bus/Profisafe communications.
* Experience writing and contributing to JSA and SWMS development, lifting heavy objects per OH&S guidelines, comfortable working at heights, and good general physical condition.
* Highly motivated, customer‐orientated professional with excellent work ethic, cultural adaptability, and proactive drive.
