Compas is seeking multiple GEN Developers to join a Federal Government Department for a long-term engagement. The ideal candidates will have experience overseeing software development projects, writing optimised code, and provide technical leadership to a team of software engineers.
* Initial contract till March 2027 + extensions
* Baseline Clearance or the ability to obtain one quickly
* QLD, ACT, VIC, SA
Key Duties and Responsibilities
* Lead and create software and technical designs for the realisation of highly complex development solutions
* Develop strategy to ensure high quality code and long-term maintenance of a product's code base
* Provide specialist technical advice on software development and maintenance
* Lead the release and ensure go-live production support and maintenance for the team’s developments
Technical Skills
* IT degree and/or formal GEN training
* Experience with Cuba or similar systems
* Experience writing and debugging COBOL
* Experience with development of SOAP services, RESTful APIs and MQ
* Experience in Win32 application development
Desired Skills and Experience
* Minimum of 4 years of experience with Gen development.
* No formal qualifications required.
