Referrals will come from a variety of sources; the member, medical team and Command, offering diversity in presentations and support requests. The support you will offer begins with initial intake and assessment with flexibility to accommodate presenting need. There is scope for the use of psychometrics and engagement in treatment that capitalises on your skills, interests and scope of practice. You will have autonomy to manage your caseload including oversight and case management of externally referred cases and the provision of internal treatment to Defence members. Additionally, your management of crisis presentations, risk assessment and risk management planning is supported within a multi-disciplinary team.We have a fixed term part time opportunities available working Tuesday and Wednesday.To Be Successful In This Role, You Will HaveThe highest levels of personal integrity and ethical behaviour.Current unconditional and unrestricted registration as a Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).Minimum 2 years post graduate experience in the last 5 years in mental health in a primary health or specialist mental health setting undertaking comprehensive mental health assessmentand delivering a range of evidence based 'Focussed Psychological Strategies' as defined under the Medicare Schedule.Recent participation in Continuous Professional Development (CPD) activities in accordance with AHPRA.Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID009) certification.Knowledge of relevant State/Territory policies and procedures and national standards governing mental health practice (desirable).Knowledge of the ADF Mental Health and Wellbeing Strategy 2018-2023 (desirable).About Amberley Health CentreRAAF Base Amberley, the largest Air Force Base in Australia and approximately 50 minutes from Brisbane city. It provides operational and maintenance support for the precision strike element of the Air Combat Group, F/A-18F Super Hornet aircraft. Supports the strategic lift capability for the Australian military’s KC-30A Multi-Role Tanker Transport (MRTT), C-17 Globemaster III heavy lift aircraft and C-27J Spartan battlefield airlifters. The health centre provides primary medical, aviation medical, dental, nursing, physiotherapy, mental health and pharmaceutical services to over 6500 RAAF members. The standard operating hours of the centre are generally 0700-1630 Monday – Thursday (depending on role requirements), and a half day (5.5 hours) Friday.About YouYou are a passionate and dedicated mental health professional who is committed to providing the highest quality healthcare to those in need.
