Programmed Skilled Workforce is a leading provider of managed workforce and training service. Our clients are currently seeking Maintenance Fitters / Mechanical Fitters & Electricians (temp & temp-to-permanent opportunities)

South-East & North-West suburbs of Melbourne
Who we're looking for
We are seeking experienced, qualified tradespeople to join our team:
Mechanical / Maintenance Fitters (with cert 3 mechanical trade qualification)
Electricians (A-Grade / qualified Electrical Fitters)
Fitter-Machinists who are competent using mills, manual lathes, drill presses and other workshop machinery
What you need
Proven experience in industrial or manufacturing environments and with production-line machinery, breakdowns and preventative maintenance
For
fitter-machinist or mechanical fitter roles
- hands-on experience operating milling machines, manual lathes, grinders or manual machining tools, and ability to fit and assemble
For
electricians:
relevant electrical qualification and license / certification, and ideally knowledge of manufacturing equipment / PLCs / automation / maintenance work.
A commitment to safety, reliability, good communication skills, teamwork, and flexibility to work, day and afternoon shifts- depending on operational needs.
Key Responsibilities
Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and reactive (breakdown) maintenance on plant and production line equipment.
Troubleshoot mechanical or electrical faults to minimise production downtime.
Carry out machine setup, line changeovers, commissioning, regular inspections and equipment servicing.
Maintain accurate maintenance logs/records and report any issues to supervisors.
Work collaboratively with production and maintenance teams to support continuous improvement, safety compliance and reliability goals.
