Administrative Officer – Family Dispute Resolution Service

About Legal Aid NT:

Legal Aid NT is an independent statutory authority established under the Legal Aid Act 1990 (NT). Our purpose is to ensure that people in the Northern Territory understand their legal rights and disadvantaged people have access to quality legal services, and to uphold a fair Northern Territory and national justice system.

About the role:

The Family Dispute Resolution Service (FDRS) conferencing program assists people experiencing family breakdown reach an agreement in Family Law matters involving parenting arrangements and property division.

Under the supervision of the Managing Solicitor and Administrative Manager and Conference Coordinator, provide high-level administrative support to ensure the efficiency of Legal Aid NT's Family Dispute Resolution Service.

About you:

You will have experience in providing administration support with the ability to organise work, prioritise, multi-task, and meet deadlines. You will be able to work efficiently with limited supervision, utilising initiative and as part of a team with the ability to operate in a trauma informed manner.

Crucial to your success in this role is sensitive and compassionate communication via your well-developed interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills with people from diverse cultures, who may be experiencing trauma.
