Full-Time | 12-Month Contract (staring mid-Jan 2026)
Perth, WA (Hybrid – flexible WFH options after onboarding)
Strong potential for permanency
Hot Stuff Saunas Pty Ltd is Australia's fastest-growing infrared sauna brand, with operations across Australia and the UK. We're a young, fast-moving, and ambitious company on an exciting growth trajectory - and we're looking for a capable, detail-driven finance professional to step into a key leadership role while our CFO is on maternity leave.
This is a unique opportunity for an exceptional Senior Bookkeeper or Accounts Officer who is ready to take the next step in their career. In this role, you'll step up into CFO-level responsibilities, gain executive-level experience, and work directly with the CEO on strategic decisions - all while being supported by a close-knit and down-to-earth team.
For the right person, there is strong potential for ongoing employment beyond the contract, though the permanent title may differ once the CFO returns.
What You'll Be Doing
Stepping into the CFO function, you will oversee and manage core financial operations across both our Australian and UK entities, including:
Finance & Accounting
* Managing day-to-day accounting operations across multiple entities
* Maintaining accurate financial records
* Managing accounts payable and receivable
* Reconciling all bank, credit card, and clearing accounts
* Monitoring company cashflow and managing payments across multiple bank accounts
Payroll & Compliance
* Preparing and processing payroll (Employment Hero experience highly regarded)
* Managing PAYG, superannuation, and state payroll tax obligations
* Lodging quarterly BAS and ensuring compliance with all ATO requirements
* Supporting payroll and VAT processes for the UK subsidiary
Reporting & Decision Support
* Preparing monthly financial reports and insights for the CEO
* Supporting strategic planning and budgeting
* Identifying risks, opportunities, and areas for operational improvement
Systems & Process Improvements
* Streamlining internal workflows and improving financial systems
* Implementing efficiencies in conjunction with our automation tools (Zapier experience is a strong advantage)
General Leadership & Business Support
We're a small, agile team - so from time to time, you may jump across departments to help solve problems or support operations. This role suits someone who thrives on variety and enjoys being hands-on in a growing business.
Who We're Looking For
The ideal candidate will be:
* A strong, highly competent Senior Bookkeeper or Accounts Officer
* Someone looking to step up into a management/executive-style role
* Confident managing end-to-end finance for a small but fast-scaling company
You'll also bring:
* Proven bookkeeping or accounting experience (SME or multi-entity experience ideal)
* Advanced knowledge of Xero Accounting Software
* Strong understanding of Australian payroll, BAS, PAYG, and superannuation obligations
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
* The ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
* Clear communication skills and the ability to liaise across teams
* A proactive, problem-solving mindset
* Experience with automation tools like Zapier - or a strong willingness to learn
What You'll Get in Return
* Flexible hybrid work arrangements
* A supportive and collaborative team culture
* Competitive salary package + bonus opportunities
* Direct exposure to executive-level decision-making
* Genuine opportunities for ongoing employment beyond the contract
* A fun, positive, and fast-paced workplace
