You will maintain and repair diesel powered machinery ensuring smooth and safe operation across the site.
Key responsibilities include: Preventative and breakdown maintenance on diesel vehicles, trucks, forklifts and mobile plant Mechanical maintenance and repairs on fixed manufacturing equipment Fault finding on hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical systems Conducting routine inspections, servicing and safety checks Supporting production teams to minimise downtime and improve equipment reliability Accurate completion of maintenance records and work orders Ensuring all work is carried out safely and in line with site standards About You You're a hands on tradesperson with a proactive approach to maintenance and a strong focus on reliability.
You will bring: Trade qualification in Diesel Mechanics OR Mechanical Fitting Experience working on both diesel powered equipment OR mechanical plant Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills Good understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics and mechanical systems FMCG, food manufacturing or agricultural experience highly regarded but not mandatory Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team Commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement
