The Role
Reporting to the Operations Manager, your role as a Condition Monitoring Technician will be on a permanent full-time basis working across various sites in the Mackay, Queensland region.
You will support our reliability and maintenance teams by implementing and maintaining condition-based monitoring programs across critical plant and equipment. You will assist in detecting early signs of mechanical degradation, reduce unplanned downtime and improve overall asset performance.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct routine condition monitoring tasks including vibration analysis, thermography, ultrasonic testing, oil sampling and data collection
* Carrying out sensor installation, in-situ field balancing and alignment of rotating machinery
* Analyse machine condition data and identify trends and early indications of failure
* Prepare detailed reports and provide recommendations to maintenance and engineering teams
The successful applicant will ideally have
* ISO 18436-2 / Level II Vibration Analysis Training and Certification
* 2+ years analysis experience (MHM knowledge advantageous)
* Thermography training and qualification highly regarded
* Hands-on mechanical experience and knowledge with oil/grease sampling
* Experience in Mining environment (advantageous)
* Strong communication and people skills
* Safe work practices and commitment to workplace health and safety
* Ability to pass a pre-employment medical including a drug & alcohol screen
* Australian working rights
