ARC Justice is an independent, for-purpose, human rights organisation that incorporates the Loddon Campaspe Community Legal Centre, the Goulburn Valley Community Legal Centre and Housing Justice. We have offices in Bendigo and Shepparton and work with people in regional and rural Victoria who experience disadvantage relating to their housing, family, relationship, consumer, economic, social and civil rights.


Job Description

About the role

As Policy and Project Manager you will:

* Lead policy development and advocacy strategies across housing, legal and climate justice guided by subject matter experts and client experience.
* Deliver strategic leadership of the Collaborate for Change project, working with sector partners and diverse stakeholders to improve housingoutcomes for regional renters.
* Represent ARC Justice in government consultations, sector collaborations and media engagements.
* Manage strategic projects from design to evaluation, ensuring community-led and evidence-informed approaches.
* Build strong relationships with stakeholders across government, philanthropy, academia and community sectors

About you

You are a strategic thinker and skilled communicator with:

* A deep commitment to social justice and community-led advoacy.
* Experience in policy development, advocacy and project management.
* Knowledge of housing, climate, legal or social policy issues affecting regional communities.
* Strong stakeholder engagement and leadership skills.
* A collaborative approach to working across teams, partners and communities.

Desired Skills and Experience

* Demonstrated commitment to social justice, human rights and community-led advocacy.
* Strong understanding of legal, housing, climate, or social policy issues affecting regional and marginalised communities.
* Proven experience in policy development, advocacy and project management incorporating systems thinking and service design.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to engage diverse audiences and influence decision-makers.
* Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
* A commitment to support team members, inspiring a culture of excellence, innovation and responsiveness.
* Experience building relationships and working collaboratively with services, community groups and governments to align and progress common priorities.
* Experience in government relations, media engagement and strategic communications.
* Understanding of housing policy and the existing housing service system.
* Familiarity with place-based approaches and integrated service models.
