The Opportunity
We're seeking a Procurement Manager to drive strong governance, robust commercial outcomes, and continuous improvement across our category and supplier management. As a trusted expert and strategic advisor, you'll deliver best practice procurement outcomes that drive organization-wide efficiencies and benefits.
Reporting to the General Manager, Operations, you'll work with suppliers to deliver financial and non-financial benefits including cost savings, supply chain risk mitigation, and supplier innovation while providing executive-level insights that enable decision-making and identify opportunities for rationalization and aggregation.
What You'll Own
Procurement Management
* Partner with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into procurement strategies
* Lead transparent tendering processes with clear evaluation criteria
* Present procurement strategies and performance to Executive Leadership
* Provide commercial guidance and procurement expertise across the business
Supplier Relationship & Performance Management
* In collaboration with internal owners, build and maintain strategic partnerships with key suppliers across product, packaging, logistics, warehousing IT and facilities.
* Conduct regular supplier business reviews and monitor KPIs (on-time delivery, quality, compliance)
* Drive performance improvements and manage escalations to resolution
* Ensure service continuity and develop contingency plans for mission-critical categories
Procurement Process & Compliance
* Optimize end-to-end procurement processes ensuring efficiency and policy compliance
* Ensure suppliers meet quality standards and all regulatory requirements
* Manage annual procurement budget and deliver cost savings targets
* Drive continuous improvement through supplier consolidation and process efficiency
Supplier Sourcing, Contracting and Purchasing
* Identify and qualify suppliers through RFx processes and capability assessments
* Negotiate commercial terms including pricing, payment terms, SLAs, and KPIs
* Execute contracts with appropriate risk mitigation and compliance clauses
* Optimize total cost of ownership across all spend categories
* Oversee operational purchasing, supplier replenishment and ordering including spot buy practices and working with sales, product and operations teams to ensure correct management of inventory and freighted goods.
* Manage and control purchase order processes
What You Bring
* Proven procurement leadership with deep understanding of strategic sourcing and category management for indirect goods and services
* Complex supplier relationship management across packaging, logistics, marketing services, IT, and professional services
* FMCG, consumer electronics, retail, or distribution supply chain experience highly advantageous
* Strong commercial acumen negotiating high-value service contracts and managing significant budgets
* Advanced negotiation skills with ability to influence senior stakeholders and suppliers
* Strong analytical capabilities including TCO analysis, spend analytics, and cost-benefit analysis
* Proficiency in procurement systems and ERP platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
* Tertiary qualification in Business, Supply Chain Management, Commerce, or related discipline
* Professional certifications (e.g., CIPS, APICS, ISM) highly regarded
