Overview
Infrastructure Monitoring Engineer at Leidos Australia in Canberra, with consideration for applicants from Melbourne. The role provides third-level application and system support for the Defence environment as part of the Centralised Processing (CP) program. The team operates on a roster covering 7 am – 7 pm weekdays.
Responsibilities Include
* Manage and deliver reliable infrastructure monitoring and alerting services globally.
* Perform specialist technical and engineering activities aligned with project and company objectives.
* Learn and apply new and existing technologies to enhance service delivery.
* Promote innovation by identifying opportunities to improve systems and processes.
* Foster collaboration within the team and participate in the on-call roster as required.
What You'll Bring To Make An Impact
* Experience with Microsoft System Centre (SCOM) is highly desirable.
* Proficiency in virtualization technologies such as VMware (VRO, vSphere) and Citrix.
* Strong knowledge of operating systems, including Windows Server and Linux/Unix.
* Skills in automation scripting, using tools like Python, PowerShell, or Ansible; familiarity with ServiceNow is a plus.
