The Green Centre

Operations Manager – Full Time (5 days, including Saturdays)
About The Green Centre
The Green Centre is a family-run garden supplies company supplying soil, mulch, compost, and is the home of firewood.com.au.
Established over 30 years ago, we aim to supply our customers with quality products and have a strong ethos on safety and innovation.
We are the largest supplier of bagged firewood in Victoria, with our sights set on multiple state domination. Have you seen the red and blue bagged firewood at Coles Express, Coles, BP, Ampol, 7-Eleven or Bunnings? That’s us! We have evolved our business over the last 10 years, with a continuous push for growth year on year.
We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager to support in the communications and distribution within The Green Centre team.
No two days are the same here at The Green Centre, and the landscape is always changing. This role will suit someone who is responsive, flexible, collaborative and able to problem solve. An ability to be tech savvy would help as we are always implementing the best systems possible. It may suit someone in the second half of their career where they are no longer wanting to be in a high pressure role. You will not be taking your work home with you!
The Green Centre is still small enough that we can run the business in a fluid and fun way yet big enough that we have important roles to play each day.
The position is Full-Time, 5 days, one of these being a Saturday between the months of April to October. You can select which of the 4 weekdays you will work, along with each Saturday.

* Opening and Closing responsibilities.
* Setting up, prioritising and maintenance of a team.

* Maintain OH&S, weekly toolbox meetings, induct new staff and make sure all policies and procedures are followed.
* Liaising with clients, suppliers and team members in a professional manner.
* Receive feedback and monitor the quality of services provided.
REQUIREMENTS:
* Proven experience in a management capacity.
* Strong ability to prioritise and be reactive to the demands of the business.
* Leadership skills and ability to manage staff.
* Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent Communication Skills.
BENEFITS AND PERKS:
* Non stressful job for someone with management experience
* A great work environment with a close-knit team.
