Carinity Youth – On Track have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Senior Youth Worker to join the team. Reporting directly to the Program Coordinator, this role supports a 24 hour/ 7 day per week service providing residential support to 'at risk' young people in care, supporting and maintaining a therapeutic care environment, assisting them to grow and develop life skills as part of an accommodation service. As well, the Senior Youth Worker is responsible for assisting in the professional development of other Youth Workers.
This role requires availability Monday to Sunday including sleepovers and public holidays and on-call every second week.
What do I need for the role?
* Diploma in Child Youth Family Intervention (Residential Care) or similar relevant to this role
* Qualified as Trainer in Therapeutic Crisis Intervention or willing to undertake
* Demonstrated experience working with 'at risk' youth who have experienced complex trauma, abuse and neglect.
* Extensive knowledge of services to youth, child and family welfare and Child Safety procedures
* Hold a valid Driver licence
