Your new role
As the Media and Communications Advisor, you will be responsible for delivering timely, accurate, and strategic communications across traditional, digital, and social media channels. In this fast-paced role, you will research, prepare, and distribute media responses, press releases, and articles, while also monitoring media coverage to identify emerging issues and trends.
You will develop and implement media and communication strategies to promote organisational programs and objectives, prepare speeches, reports, and publications for both internal and external audiences, and manage relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
The role will also see you supporting the delivery of events, marketing initiatives, and promotional campaigns, as well as contributing to digital and social media content that engages the community.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
* Demonstrated experience in media and communications, ideally within the public sector
* High-level written communication skills, with experience producing media releases, social media content, and corporate communications.
* Strong copywriting and proofreading ability across a variety of channels and audiences.
* Experience developing and implementing communications strategies, projects, and campaigns.
* Strong interpersonal and advisory skills, with the ability to provide strategic direction stakeholders at varying levels.
* Ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing needs.
* A valid NPC
