We are looking for a candidate interested in commencing a Certificate III Carpentry apprenticeship in the Launceston area. This is a fantastic opportunity to commence your career in the building industry, working on a large commercial project. Solid work ethic and the ability to learn and take instructions are vital for this opportunity, together with a genuine desire to complete this qualification. What can you gain from completing an apprenticeship through Work & Training? You would be employed by Work & Training - one of the largest employers of Apprentices and Trainees in Tasmania, and hosted for the duration of your apprenticeship. You would be part of a committed team and under guidance of the site supervisor. Your Work & Training Consultant provides mentoring and employment support. At the completion of your apprenticeship you would receive a nationally recognised Certificate III in Carpentry (CPC30220) and become a qualified trades person. Learn how to: Assist in Commercial construction of large scale developments. Safely demolish existing structures, renovate and extend current structures. Work safely on busy building sites, alongside of other trade persons. Utilise power tools safely and in accordance to WHS policies and procedures. Desired attributes: VET Pre-Vocational Construction qualification. Essential attributes: Hold a current drivers licence and a reliable vehicle. Have a White Card Have the ability to pass a pre-employment medical that includes drug and alcohol testing. How to apply: Upload your current resume and complete the on-line recruitment information.
