About the Opportunity
As a Senior Financial Counsellor, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals experiencing financial hardship. You will collaborate within a skilled team, provide high‐quality financial counselling services, advocate for participants, and mentor fellow Financial Counsellors across the East Arnhem region.
Some travel to remote communities is required.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide high‐quality financial counselling services to participants.
* Advocate for participants' needs across relevant networks.
* Mentor and support other Financial Counsellors.
Qualifications
* Diploma of Community Services (Financial Counselling) and professional registration.
* Minimum 5 years' experience in financial counselling, wellbeing, microfinance or related sectors.
* Strong skills in casework, assessment, advocacy and participant engagement.
* Experience mentoring or supporting other staff.
* Ability to build effective networks and partnerships.
* Commitment to social justice and working respectfully with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
Additional Requirements
* Provide 100 points of identification to confirm Australian citizenship or eligibility to work in Australia before commencing.
* Possess a Working with Children (Ochre Card).
* Hold a current National Criminal History Check (within 3 months).
* Hold a valid NT driver's licence.
