Overview
Part-time Faculty Pool - Online Criminal Justice Instructor. This is a part-time, non-benefited position with NWCCD. Months Worked Annually: NA. Typical Work Schedule: Assignments may include day, evening, fully online, hybrid (partially online) and/or weekend courses. This is an ONGOING recruitment; our adjunct faculty application is open to all disciplines and we accept part-time faculty applications year-round to fill needs as they arise.

Part-time, temporary, hourly assignments are on an as-needed basis. Part-time faculty meetings are conducted the week prior to the semester start. Course outlines of record, student learning outcomes to be assessed, and department policies will be provided or reviewed.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality instruction in accordance with the approved course outline of record.
- Participate in general faculty functions related to the educational program and faculty development activities including assessment of student learning outcomes (SLOs).
- Assignments may include day, evening, fully online, hybrid (partially online) and/or weekend courses.
- Instruct classes as assigned and maintain regular effective contact with students. Use of Canvas as a Learning Management System (LMS) is required for all courses. Applicants must have a laptop computer with reliable WIFI.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree or higher in content area from an accredited college or university; OR
- Bachelor’s degree in content area from an accredited college or university AND a Master’s degree in a related field; OR
- A combination of education and experience that is at least the equivalent of items 1 or 2 above. Applicants applying on the basis of equivalency must complete all Equivalency questions on their application in addition to all other required materials.

Benefits Summary
This is a part-time, non-benefited position. Part-time faculty are eligible for a 25% NWCCD tuition discount for the employee during the semester teaching.
