Role and Responsibilities
* Lead and manage projects, including water infrastructure projects, from initiation to completion, ensuring they are executed within scope, schedule, and as per budget.
* Work with Project Engineers to deliver complex and custom projects on time.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective project delivery, including engineers, designers, contractors, and clients.
* Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans that outline project goals, tasks, timelines, and resource allocation.
* Monitor project progress using the internal system (ERP, Power BI Reports, Gantt charts, etc.) to identify potential risks and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.
* Foster clear communication channels among team members, stakeholders, and clients, providing regular project updates.
* Adherence to industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols throughout project execution.
* Oversee procurement activities, vendor selection, and contract management.
* Lead project meetings, workshops, and presentations to share project status and gather feedback.
* Prepare accurate and detailed project documentation, including reports, budgets, and technical specifications.
Qualifications and Experience
* A degree in Civil, Structural, Materials or Mechanical Engineering.
* Knowledge and understanding of dealing with the management of infrastructure projects.
* Proven experience of 5-10 years in successfully managing projects, including water infrastructure projects.
* Proficient with AS standards: AS 1170, AS 1428, AS 2156 and AS 1657.
* Able to present products, services and technical information in a professional, structured manner with clients.
* Be confident with strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Able to read drawings and understand a technical product.
* Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide cross-functional teams.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.
* Proficiency in project management software and tools.
* PMP or PRINCE2 certification is a plus.
* Knowledge of relevant regulations, permits, and compliance standards in the water industry.
