About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Finance Officer with strong NDIS knowledge to join our team.

In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for carrying out all NDIS financial processing and bookkeeping tasks, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across all finance functions. You'll complete NDIS claims, reconcile payments, process payroll, and maintain accurate financial records to support Sanctuary's governance and sustainability.

The position offers 20 hours per week with flexibility to work primarily from home, with one in-office day per week at our Honeysuckle Drive location for collaboration and team connection.

This position is suited to someone who understands the NDIS Price Guide, claiming processes, and financial compliance within the disability sector.

Key Responsibilities:

* Complete NDIS claims and payment requests via the Provider Portal, ensuring all billing aligns with NDIS Price Guide requirements.
* Reconcile NDIS remittance advice and participant funding statements for accuracy and reporting.
* Track and update participant budgets and utilisation in line with support delivery.
* Maintain accurate NDIS financial records for audit and compliance purposes.
* Process end-to-end payroll, including timesheet entry, SCHADS Award application, superannuation, PAYG, and payroll tax.
* Perform bookkeeping duties, including bank and account reconciliations in Xero.
* Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoice creation and payment runs.
* Prepare basic financial reports and summaries to support management decision-making.
* Ensure compliance with ATO obligations (BAS, IAS) and maintain accurate records for external reporting.

What You'll Bring:

* Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or Business, or equivalent experience.
* Minimum 3 years' experience in bookkeeping or finance, ideally within the NDIS or community services sector.
* Strong understanding of NDIS funding categories, claiming, and reporting.
* Proficiency in Xero (or similar accounting system) and Microsoft Office.
* High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
* Excellent communication and teamwork, with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset.
* Commitment to Sanctuary Family Connections' Vision, Motto and Values.

Desirable:

* Knowledge of the SCHADS Award and experience with payroll and rostering systems.
* Experience supporting NDIS audits or compliance reviews.
