This position is a maintenance trade role with Civmec in WA's Pilbara, working on a variety of sites and supporting a range of shutdown opportunities.
Day shift and Night shift availability.
Responsibilities
* Maintain all correct consumables, feeds, amperages and preheat in accordance with applicable weld procedures.
* Weld steel structures in sequence to eliminate shrinkage and distortion of steel components.
* Remove tack welds, clean and restore weld preparations where required.
* Solid understanding of current Australian Welding Standards.
* Welding techniques including, but not limited to, MMAW, FCAW and arc air gouging.
* Ability to pass weld tests 3G, 4G and 6G.
* Follow quality control systems and techniques.
Qualifications
* Australian Recognised Trade Certificate.
* Construction White Card.
* Work Safely at Heights (within 2 years of issue).
* Enter and Work in Confined Space (within 2 years of issue).
* Gas Test Atmospheres (desirable).
* Ability to pass a pre‐employment Medical and regular/random Drug and Alcohol screens.
* Additional Tickets will be highly regarded.
