Support pilot plant and R&D teams with sample preparation and routine laboratory measurements in a casual role.
Your Role
Key responsibilities include:
* Log, track, and organise incoming solid and liquid samples from the pilot plant and R&D laboratory.
* Perform or be trained to perform microwave digestion of solid samples and prepare dilutions of liquid samples for ICP-OES/MS analysis.
* Conduct pH, conductivity, and ISE measurements to support ongoing plant operations.
* Follow strict procedures for safe handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous, toxic, and corrosive reagents.
* Monitor lab environmental conditions to reduce contamination risks.
About You
The company is looking for:
* Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Sciences, or a closely related field (required).
* No prior laboratory work experience necessary; full training provided.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures accurately.
* Good communication skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
* Interest in analytical chemistry, minerals processing, or pilot‑scale operations is highly regarded.
Compensation & Benefits
* $35 per hour plus 25% casual loading.
* Flexible casual hours aligned with operational requirements (up to 24 hours per week).
