About Your New Role
As the Team Leader Accounts Payable, you will provide hands-on leadership and operational oversight to a team responsible for processing supplier payment requests. Your role is vital in ensuring payments are managed efficiently and in compliance with internal policies and external legislation, including the ANTS (Goods & Services Tax) Act 2000 and the Building and Construction Industry Payments Act.
You will also act as a key contact point for resolving complex queries, supporting internal and external stakeholders, and driving improvements in accounts payable practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, support, and guide Accounts Payable and purchasing requisitioners.
- Prioritise and monitor invoice workflows to ensure productive processing through the invoice management system.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable procedures, policies, and legislative requirements.
- Maintain system integrity and proactively address audit recommendations.
- Oversee GRIR (Goods Receipt Invoice Receipt) reporting and drive best-practice financial operations.
- Support officer training and development through procedure reviews and performance monitoring.
- Maintain strict information security and confidentiality across all activities.
- Collaborate across teams to identify opportunities for continuous improvement in the procure-to-pay process.
- Communicate service issues and performance updates to the Supervisor – Accounts Payable.
- Manage and balance workloads in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

- Strong knowledge of relevant financial legislation and regulatory frameworks.
