NQM Gold 2 Pty Ltd is an Australian gold explorer, developer, and producer. Located southwest of Townsville, the Pajingo mine is around 50km from Charters Towers and currently employs approximately 250 people to run the underground mining and ore processing operations.
We are looking for a motivated and reliable Heavy Diesel Fitter Apprentice to join our growing team! This is a residential role based in Charters Towers. All applicants must live locally and be current Australian residents.
About the Role
As an apprentice, you will train alongside qualified technicians to service, repair, and troubleshoot a wide range of underground mobile equipment.
What You'll Learn
* Assist in inspections, servicing, and repairs of mobile equipment
* Learn to diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical faults
* Support preventative maintenance programs
* Maintain workshop and site safety standards
* Use hand tools, power tools, measuring devices, and diagnostic equipment
* Complete logbooks and apprenticeship training requirements
What You'll Bring

* Good problem‐solving and communication skills
* Ability to work in a team environment
* Willingness to complete a pre‐employment medical, drug and alcohol screen, and national police clearance.
