Essential Requirements
* Experience: Minimum 2 years of proven experience in a commercial kitchen setting.
* Qualification: Diploma in Hospitality Management (or equivalent).
Key Duties and Responsibilities (ANZSCO
As a Cook at Cafe Delissio, your responsibilities will include:
· Sourcing & Quality Assurance: Vigorously examining all incoming food ingredients to ensure maximum freshness and quality, often coordinating with local or regional suppliers.
· Precision Cooking: Regulating and maintaining the temperatures of all cooking equipment (ovens, grills, fryers) for consistent results.
· Meal Production: Preparing and expertly cooking all menu items in line with Cafe Delissio's standards.
· Flavour Profiling: Skillfully seasoning and tasting food during preparation and cooking to achieve perfect flavour balance.
· Presentation Excellence: Accurately portioning meals, arranging food artfully on plates, and ensuring attractive garnishes and sauces are applied.
· Inventory Management: Implementing and maintaining best practices for storing food in temperature-controlled facilities to minimise waste and ensure food safety.
· Dietary Focus: Proactively preparing custom meals to meet all customer special dietary requirements, including allergies and intolerances.
· Kitchen Leadership: Planning daily menus, calculating food requirements and ordering stock to ensure smooth operations.
· Team Development: Training and mentoring other kitchen staff, including apprentices and casual team members, fostering a positive and skilled workplace.
