About the team
The Utilities Asset Planning and Management team is part of the Infrastructure Lifecycle, Planning and Performance branch of Infrastructure Gold Coast. The branch is responsible as the asset custodian for the development of the City's Local Government Infrastructure Plans (LGIP), network planning, new/upgrade infrastructure programs (including 10-year capital works programs), asset management planning, asset condition assessments and inspection programs, identifying renewal scope for delivery by Infrastructure Delivery, manage Councillor requests associated with infrastructure for the city's water, sewerage, and stormwater infrastructure.
You’ll join a dynamic team comprising of seven individuals with diverse background. About the role
As Planning/modelling Engineer, you will be responsible for the effective and efficient development, utilisation, and maintenance of planning and operational models for the water, recycled water and wastewater network and systems to achieve the optimum performance of existing and future water infrastructure assets.

We're looking for people who have:
• Experience in investigation, modelling, analysis and documentation of water, recycled water and wastewater networks and systems with an understanding of the principles of ecologically sustainable development and integrated water management.
• Sound understanding and interpretation of planning instruments and demonstrated knowledge of statutory requirements, policies, relevant legislation, and standards.
• Experience at an advanced level in the use of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and Project), modelling software such as Innovyze InfoWorks ICM and WS Pro, and ArcGIS mapping software.
• Ability to work well in a team environment and build relationships and credibility with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Sound organisational, project and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and commitments.
• Well-developed writing and communication skills, with the ability to consult and advise a wide range of stakeholders.
• A demonstrated commitment to safety from both a leadership and personal perspective.
