As a Payroll Assistant, you’ll assist in all aspects of payroll, from processing pay runs to answering employee queries. You’ll partner with a wide range of key stakeholders, including employees, Finance & Risk partners, and the broader People & Culture team.

What the role involves
Work closely with the Payroll team to assist with the monthly payroll process, ensuring accuracy, eligibility, and timeliness of payments.
Assist with processing superannuation, redundancy calculations, payroll tax, etc.
Engage with employees at all levels and answer queries clearly and accurately.
Assist in reviewing current payroll practices to identify potential efficiencies.
Assist with reporting as required.
Who we’re looking for
6+ months experience in Payroll or HR is ideal but not necessary.
Enthusiasm to learn and a passion for numbers.
Knowledge of payroll compliance, employment tax, and industrial relations.
Intermediate Excel skills are advantageous but not necessary.
Strong problem-solving skills and creative thinking ability.
