The Opportunity
Our client is currently looking for a Procurement Specialist to join their growing team within the government sector. As a senior member of the team, this role will play a pivotal part in ensuring the success of ongoing and upcoming projects by leading the development and implementation of procurement plans and systems.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage end-to-end procurement processes and contracts for various projects and programs.
* Provide sound advice on tender evaluation plans and manage high-risk and complex procurement processes.
* Build and develop relationships with key stakeholders and suppliers.
* Provide training to ensure compliance with contracts, tenders, policies, procedures, and systems.
* Refine and improve existing systems and procedures to ensure best practices.
* Develop and present reports to management to inform decision-making.
Selection Criteria
* Background in procurement, contract management, commercial finance, legal, or similar fields.
* Demonstrated stakeholder management and engagement skills, along with high-level written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
* Willingness and ability to mentor others.
