In Australia alone, Royal Caribbean International has won several significant titles including Best Cruise Operator (8 consecutive years running) at the National Travel Industry Awards.The Graphic Designer functions as an integral part of the Australian Sales team and is responsible for the in-house production of engaging and on-brand marketing materials. The role is primarily responsible for design execution for our trade channels, from conception through to final execution of retail and brand campaigns, as well as supporting key company initiatives that position the brand favourably and appropriately in Australia. The role requires excellent communication and time management skills, as you’ll be working closely with both internal and external stakeholders including the local sales team, and travel partners.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesSupport the Trade Marketing Manager to carry out internal graphic design requirements for Royal Caribbean International’s brand and retail trade assets in Australia & New Zealand through these primary areas:Print – brochures, flyers, press/magazine advertisingPowerPoint designDigital – display, websites, social media, e-brochuresDirect / CRM – direct e-mail and / or direct mailVideo editing / content creationAnimation of digital assetsEntire asset creation across full suite of social platforms eg: Facebook and InstagramEntire asset creation for Partnership initiatives across multiple channelsProduction design – image editing (manipulation, color correcting/retouching)Using the creative strategy outlined by the initial brief of projects and adhering to our trade brand guidelines, develop concept of assets through to finished art and deliver on time to relevant partners and internal stakeholdersAdapt and localise global retail assets as required Ideation and execution of on-brand campaigns/artwork with an ability to clearly and effectively communicate design rationaleProducing marketing material for trade channels across online and print channels (such as flyers, website banners, print collateral, pull up banners, magazine ads, social banners, merchandise, webinars and video content)Collaborate and contribute with ideas and design solutions to meet the overall briefEffectively manage multiple projects of varying complexities and with different but tight deadlines.Utilise project management software to traffic projects and effectively manage stakeholders.Prepare work to be accomplished by gathering and studying information and materials.Complete projects by coordinating with outside agencies, art services, printers, digital services when and where required.Keep up-to-date knowledge of emerging technologies in new media, particularly of design software across the Adobe Creative Suite.Illustrates concept by designing rough layout of art and copy layout regarding arrangement, size, type size and style, and related aesthetic concepts.Maintain technical knowledge by attending design workshops; reviewing professional publications; participating in professional societies.Perform other duties as required.
