Responsibilities
Hexagon's Safety, Infrastructure and Geospatial (SIG) division provides mission-critical and business-critical solutions to governments and service providers for smarter and safer communities, better public services, more reliable infrastructure, and improved resilience of vital services.
* Mentor and lead a dedicated team of solution architects throughout the region managing priorities, upskilling, succession planning and efficiency gains
* Provide business representation when involved in commercial contract negotiations internally (legal) and external (customer)
* Develop a broad understanding of Hexagon Portfolio (products, services, and markets) including keeping updated on latest releases leading the team to develop end-to-end solution architecture for customer requirements
* Leading the design, specification, and selection of high-quality information system solutions for Hexagon customers while considering the impacts to functionality, data security, integration, infrastructure, business requirements, and performance
* Implement/support industry standard frameworks to deliver solution architecture conceptual designs Analyse and capture customer business requirements/challenges translating these into a Hexagon solution offering
* Review/input into project documentation as required to ensure that it meets technical standards and customer needs
* Prepare and deliver customer presentations and demonstrations of the software/solution, articulately and confidently
* Assist sales function leading the technical and commercial requirements for opportunities including RFI's, EOIs and RFP's directly contributing to bid/no bid outcomes
* Actively participate in the senior leadership team to drive strategic growth and partner initiatives
* Strong written and oral communication skills efficiently documenting outcomes and making appropriate recommendations
* Deep understanding of resource effort estimations for opportunities and bid models to present in bid reviews (both local and global)
* Actively contribute towards ongoing improvements of Architecture and Technology practices and processes at Hexagon; participate in solution peer reviews
* Provide strategic advice to customer c-suite as well as internal & external stakeholders as required
* Provide input and resolution of technical issues when required across the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
* Support the implementation and upholding of architectural governance controls across the SDLC and project management frameworks
* Ensure that all architecture references including principles, policies, standards, roadmaps, frameworks, patterns, and methodologies are maintained throughout the presales process
Education / Qualifications
The Senior Manger Pre-Sales and Architecture leads a team of pre-sales professionals to support the sales process through strategic technical engagement, solution development, and customer presentations. This role bridges the gap between customer needs and product capabilities, ensuring tailored solutions that drive business growth.
Developing a deep understanding of Hexagons products and services combined with industry domain knowledge this role also provides solution architecture leadership supporting the successful delivery of Hexagon's solutions and programs. Translating strategy and business requirements into presentable technical solutions to benefit customer outcomes and focus.
National police clearance required.
* Tertiary Level education in IT, Computer Science or similar relative field
* 10+ years Solution Architecture experience with a focus on Pre-Sales highly desirable
* Knowledge of Enterprise Architecture methodologies such as TOGAF or the equivalent
* Solid understanding of Service Orientated Architecture and other interface architectures
* Proven and demonstrable professional experience in a presales or equivalent role
* Proven track record in software or business architecture
* Understanding of business architecture and how it supports technology
* Demonstrated understanding of the project management approaches such as Prince2 or equivalent
* Experience modelling requirements and/or business processes using a variety of tools and techniques
* Experience in selling, architecting, and delivering cloud solutions
* Experience with implementing complex enterprise projects in a mission critical/high-availability environments is highly desirable
* Public safety domain knowledge or experience with (or understanding of) Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) / Mobile Computing is highly desirable
* Strong commercial acumen and understanding of contracts and associated legalities is highly desirable
* Understanding of profit and loss for proposals and responses

* Understanding and competency with hosted enterprise solutions on cloud technology platforms. Azure highly desirable
* Working knowledge of infrastructure including servers, storage, firewalls, load balances, and associated network infrastructure
* Ability to build upon strategic partner alliances in region
* Ability to travel as requested/required
