Hydraulic Hose Technician / Mechanical Fitters – Workshop & Mobile positions available, expected start early January 2026 for suitably qualified candidates.
Job Summary
We are looking for someone with a strong mechanical background and sound knowledge of Heavy Earthmoving & Construction equipment, or a Heavy Earthmoving Mechanical Fitter. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of hydraulic systems, hose & fittings, and the industry.
Candidate Profile
* Unrestricted right to work in Australia or have Australian residency.
* Reside permanently within the Gold Coast region or willing to relocate immediately.
* Fantastic attitude, diligent work ethic, desirous to succeed and can work independently or as part of a team.
* Self‑motivated, confident, determination to achieve future goals and deliver quality service. Customer focused with ability to build and maintain relationships.
* Good knowledge of mechanical hydraulic systems, heavy vehicle transport, construction machinery and fixed quarrying equipment.
* Demonstrated experience with mining equipment, industrial hydraulics, and mobile hydraulics systems.
* Able to undertake manual handling duties, including physical lifting.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct testing of mechanical systems, hydraulic control systems.
* Inspect, test and analyse the condition of hydraulic systems, pipes, hose assemblies and mechanical components.
* Manufacture and install hydraulic pipe & hose assemblies, including installation of hydraulic and mechanical components and associated technology to support mechanical engineering systems.
Must Have
* Minimum 12 months of experience in the above areas.
* Combined minimum of 2 years' experience in hydraulic hose work or mechanical fitting within the industry.
* Good communication skills – at least intermediate fluency in English (read/write/speak).
* Current clean manual car licence; licence history printout available if required.
* Reliable transport to and from work.
* Prepared to work after hours and share after‑hour call‑outs with fellow hose technicians when required.
* Works Monday‑Friday, 40 hours per week.

Remuneration
Based on experience. Generous market‑competitive base salary plus overtime & after‑hours call‑outs. Review at 3 months, 6 months, then annually. Government super guarantee.
