**About the role**: 
We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Category Manager to join our BCF Boating/Fishing Team. Our focus is to develop a suite of products centred on key customer leisure, integrating with services and customer experience. With our customers' top of mind we are on a mission to provide compelling solutions, inspiration and value. Reporting in to the Category Manager, your natural ability to engage with internal & external stakeholders and your flexibility to adapt to change will help drive your success in this role.
This is a great opportunity for an Assistant Category Manager who is ready to take on a new challenge. Working across our BCF Boating Range, each day will bring something different but key responsibilities of this role will be:
- Facilitate Category Manager decisions into processes with deliverable outcomes 
- Manage promotional activities and the implementation process of new lines from planning through to execution 
- Work collaboratively with stakeholders ensuring continued focus on sales and profit is managed within KPI's and guidelines 
- Provide administration support to the Category Manager 
- Ensure financial results are delivered against Category budgets and business KPI's 
- Build and maintain effective partnerships with internal and external stakeholders in order to achieve business priorities
**About You**: 
To be successful in this role, you will be a results driven and outcome focused individual, you will also bring:
- Demonstrated experience in an assistant category management or assistant product management role, working with hardgoods; 
- A passion for boating and/or fishing 
- Wholesale or retail product management 
- Ability to manage promotional planning and implementation 
- The ability to engage, build lasting relationships and influence key stakeholders to drive successful outcomes 
- Strong attention to detail with excellent time management skills 
- Solid analytical skills, coupled with intermediate capabilities in Excel 
- Experience in SAP and BW would be advantageous
