Key responsibilities
* Deliver excellent customer service through effective procedures, service agreements, and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Maintain accurate inventory systems to record and control Council assets.
* Supervise and support Stores staff to ensure efficient service delivery across multiple locations.
* Coordinate supply and purchasing arrangements that provide value and monitor supplier compliance.
* Ensure a safe, compliant, and well‐resourced working environment for all Stores operations.
* Drive a culture of continuous improvement to strengthen service delivery and operational readiness.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have hands‐on experience in inventory management and staff supervision, and you can drive continuous improvement and manage change with confidence. You will be skilled in purchasing, contracts, and financial control of inventory systems, with solid knowledge of OH&S requirements.
Essential Experience
* Experience in inventory operations and management.
* Some experience in the supervision of staff to ensure operational objectives are met.
* Ability to promote continuous improvement and manage change.
* Demonstrated ability to manage purchasing, tender and contract arrangements.
* Demonstrated experience in the financial control and management of inventory systems.
* Sound knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety Act Regulations pertaining to storage and inventory management including manual handling techniques.
* All candidates should display integrity, responsibility, respect for others and the ability to be innovative.
* Current Working with Children Check (Employee).
* Current Victorian Drivers Licence.
