Your Role as a Behaviour Therapist at daar
Being a dedicated member of the daar team as a Behaviour Therapist entails the meaningful endeavour of positively shaping lives through the principles and practices of behaviour therapy.
* Utilising assessment tools to conduct behavioural assessments and analysis to develop behaviour support plan.
* Implement behaviour support plan and reviewing support plans as per NDIS guidelines.
* Ensuring practices and intervention are aligned with NDIS Quality and Safeguards, NDIS Restrictive Practices, and Behaviour Support guidelines.
* Being a part of a multi-disciplinary team delivering improved health outcomes.
* Understanding of other models of practice which are complementary to Positive Behaviour Support such as environmental enrichment and person-centred active support.
* Manage a caseload of children, young people and adults with a disability who present with a variety of needs. Therapy services include assessment, consultation, therapeutic intervention planning and program development including those with complex needs or challenging behaviour.
* Delivery of therapeutic interventions for people with a disability and their families and carers
* Communicating with individuals, families and other professionals to ensure appropriate intervention is being delivered
* To work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team to provide holistic therapy programs when children are receiving more than one allied health services from the company, in particular, for children with autism and complex developmental needs.
