Senior Digital Workplace Consultant (SharePoint & Microsoft 365)
Location: Brisbane, QLD
Employment Type: Full‐time, permanent (6‐month probation)
Working Model: Hybrid (must be flexible to support onsite engagement where required, particularly for discovery and key delivery phases)
Start Context: Immediate placement supporting Digital Workplace Programme Phase 1 and SharePoint Enhancement and Automation engagements, including multi‐agency government deliveries.
Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Digital Workplace Consultant with deep SharePoint and Microsoft 365 expertise to lead and deliver complex collaboration, governance and automation initiatives.
This is a hands‐on Senior role combining senior technical delivery with leadership, quality oversight and client engagement. The successful candidate will operate as both a senior practitioner and a Senior consultant responsible for delivery assurance, mentoring and technical direction across multiple projects.
The role will immediately support large‐scale, governed programmes including enterprise digital workplace implementations and SharePoint enhancement and automation initiatives within regulated environments.
Key Responsibilities Delivery Leadership & Execution
* Lead SharePoint and Microsoft 365 projects from design through to build, migration, testing, cutover and handover.
* Act as architectural and delivery authority across SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, Viva and related services.
* Ensure solutions align to agreed information architecture, governance models and organisational standards.
* Work across multiple parallel projects, including large programmes and smaller enhancement streams.
Governance, Risk & Quality
* Lead delivery in environments with strict governance, assurance and compliance requirements.
* Ensure configurations align with security, privacy, records management and lifecycle obligations.
* Provide quality assurance across design artefacts, builds, migrations and automation solutions.
* Support formal governance forums, reporting requirements and decision‐making processes.
Security, Compliance & AI Enablement
* Design and implement Microsoft Purview capabilities including information protection, retention, classification and audit.
* Ensure digital workplace foundations are suitable for AI‐enabled services, including Microsoft Copilot.
* Support responsible Copilot readiness, governance and adoption patterns.
Automation & Enhancement Delivery
* Lead and validate SharePoint enhancement and automation solutions using Power Platform where appropriate.
* Ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable and minimise technical debt.
* Balance configuration‐first approaches with automation to achieve business outcomes.
Leadership & Capability Development
* Mentor and support consultants and junior staff across delivery engagements.
* Provide technical guidance, design review and on‐the‐job coaching.
* Contribute to internal delivery standards, patterns and reusable approaches.
* Lead small delivery teams while remaining hands‐on in complex or critical workstreams.
Stakeholder Engagement
* Engage confidently with senior client stakeholders, technical leads and business representatives.
* Translate complex technical concepts into clear, practical advice.
* Support multi‐agency and cross‐organisation delivery contexts.
