Overview
The Yanchep Inn is a busy, established venue operating seven days a week within Yanchep National Park. We provide breakfast, lunch and dinner service, along with a strong wedding and functions calendar, including events in our Cabaret Cave. We are seeking a Head Chef who is looking for a genuine long-term opportunity and the chance to take full responsibility for a well-regarded kitchen. This is a hands-on leadership role in a venue with consistent volume. Midweek time is structured for planning, menu development and preparation, with the expectation that the Head Chef leads from the front during peak service periods and major events.
The Role
* Oversee all kitchen operations
* Set and maintain clear standards across the team
* Lead service during high-volume periods and events
* Manage ordering, stock control and rostering
* Maintain food cost targets and margins
* Maximise our current offerings
* Develop future menus across both à la carte and functions
* Ensure consistency, discipline and quality in execution
About You
* Experienced Head Chef or strong Senior Sous ready to step up
* Confident managing busy service and directing a team
* Comfortable setting expectations and holding standards
* Organised and commercially aware
* Able to balance planning, preparation and hands-on execution
* Looking for a long-term role with opportunity to build and grow
Salary range $100,000 – $110,000 + superannuation, based on experience and capability.
