This exciting opportunity will suit an experienced payroll professional who enjoys being part of a growing Australian manufacturing business and who is ready to take the next step in their career. This position is crucial to both our Finance and HR teams ensuring the smooth operation of payroll services is provided for our people.
Key Responsibilities:
· Perform payroll administration end-to-end on a weekly and monthly basis.
· Collect and verify weekly paid employee's time and attendance via Deputy system.
· Calculate, wages, overtime, bonuses, deductions and leave entitlements in accordance with industrial instruments applicable.
· Administer Superannuation payments, payroll tax obligations and other payments.
· Maintain employee records; setting up new employees, terminations and payments, process increases and backpays.
· Monitor and maintain the integrity of the payroll function and systems.
· Complete month end reconciliations and assist with payroll audits.
· Ensure payroll complies with tax laws, superannuation, and employment regulations.
· Provide statutory reconciliations and other reports for Australian Bureau of Statistics employment reports (IAS Statements, and Superannuation returns) and provide data for payroll related section of Workplace Gender Equity Reporting.
· Create payroll reports, cost analysis and compliance management reports.
· Ensure updates are made as required by industrial instruments.
· Stay a breast of legislative changes, industry best practices and adapt proactively.
· Act as the key point of contact for payroll related enquiries from employees and/or managers providing guidance on payslips, deductions, and leave accrual/entitlements.
· Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation to enhance payroll efficiency and accuracy.
· Complete end of month reconciliations and reporting.
To Succeed you will need:
· Proficiency in using ADP Payforce and Microsoft Excel
· Experience in payroll governance, compliance, and award interpretation
· Strong analytical skills and attention to detail with a focus on checks and balances
· Excellent communication and problem-solving capability
· Positive 'Can Do' Attitude
