The Office of Projects Victoria (OPV) leads and influences excellence in project delivery so Government projects are delivered on time and on budget, and the full benefits of the investment are realised for Victorians. OPV does this by providing trusted independent advice to the Victorian Government.
About the role The purpose of this role is to provide project coordination support to the activities of Office of Projects Victoria. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to ongoing change and development within the construction industry to influence business practices across the state. The key responsibilities of the role include:
- Work closely with the Senior Manager and across OPV to develop and implement innovative system wide improvements.
- Coordinate stakeholder consultation and feedback from technical experts as part of developing the State's infrastructure policies, proposals, and advice and advancing a whole of Government perspective.
- Conduct business as usual activities, including, but not limited to procurement, event management, document management, agendas, minute taking, progress reporting, and recruitment.
About you
You are a self-motivated individual who enjoys building effective working relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders to support the team to deliver projects affecting change in the construction industry. You will also possess:
- Developed written and verbal communication skills and an ability to summarise and prioritise issues, options and solutions effectively to senior decision makers.
- Demonstrated experience and skill in projects coordination/management and implementation.
- Experience and exposure to infrastructure, including understanding the challenges and opportunities facing major projects.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team and contribute towards team and organisational success.
Experience and qualifications
A qualification or background in policy, engineering, project management, communications or marketing is desirable.
