TrakSnak is seeking a Casual Sales Assistant to join our team in Mandurah, WA. This casual position offers flexibility and the opportunity to be part of a dynamic retail environment. As a Sales Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service and driving sales within our store. This position is perfect for individuals seeking flexible work arrangements while gaining valuable retail experience in a fast‐paced setting.
What you'll be doing
* Greeting customers with a warm welcome and assisting them in finding products that meet their needs
* Processing transactions accurately and efficiently at the point of sale
* Maintaining a clean, organised and well‐stocked retail environment
* Providing product knowledge and recommendations to enhance customer experience
* Handling customer enquiries and resolving issues professionally and courteously
* Supporting the team with stock management, including unpacking, pricing and shelving merchandise
* Contributing to achieving sales targets and promoting in‐store promotions
* Assisting with till reconciliation and cash handling procedures
* Maintaining awareness of current products, pricing and promotional activities
What we're looking for
* Previous retail or customer service experience is advantageous but not essential
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse customers
* Reliability, punctuality and flexibility with scheduling to meet business requirements
* Availability to work weekdays only with flexibility to accommodate business scheduling needs
* Basic numeracy skills and the ability to handle cash transactions accurately
* The capacity to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
* Physical fitness to stand for extended periods and lift/carry merchandise where required
* A professional appearance and commitment to maintaining high standards of conduct and presentation
* Minimum age requirement of 16‐17 years to comply with employment regulations
* Valid Australian work visa or appropriate work authorisation to be legally employed in Australia
