About the role
Join the experienced team at The Rego Shop as a full-time Mechanic. Working in our workshop in Port Macquarie, you will be responsible for servicing and repairing a vast range of vehicles to the highest standard. This is a hands-on role where you'll get to use the latest tools and equipment to keep our customers' vehicles running smoothly.
What you'll be doing
* Conducting scheduled services and general maintenance on a variety of vehicles
* Logbook servicing and repairs
* Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, and electrical faults
* Tyre fitting, wheel balancing and wheel alignments
* Service and repair aircon systems
* Completing work in a timely and efficient manner to meet customer expectations
* Maintaining accurate job records and documentation
* Ensuring a clean, safe and organised work environment
* Providing excellent customer service and advice
What we're looking for
* Relevant trade qualifications in Automotive Mechanics
* Minimum 3 years' experience as a qualified Mechanic
* Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
* Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality work
* Good communication skills and customer service orientation
* Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
* Current driver's licence, able to drive manual cars
* AIS and AUVIS vehicle examiner preferred but not essential
* Aircon ticket preferred but not essential
