Role Overview
The Category Marketing Specialist will play a key role in supporting the commercial Sales and Marketing team. This position involves managing relationships with key retail and independent customers, identifying sales and marketing opportunities, and assisting in category planning.
Key Responsibilities
* Generate product ideas, write product blurbs, and support product sourcing
* Use data analysis to drive category growth and optimise customer planograms
* Review customer planograms and optimise assortments
* Manage product registration, artwork approvals, and factory audits
* Conduct regular presentations on slow‐moving stock, competitor analysis, and promotional recommendations
Skills and Experience
* 3+ years' experience in a retail or FMCG setting, with experience in a category, sales, or marketing function
* Degree in Marketing or equivalent
* Proficient in Microsoft applications, particularly Excel
* Experience with Adobe platforms is advantageous
* Robust creative skills for point‐of‐sale materials and an understanding of planogram planning and execution
* Collaborative and team‐oriented culture
