Tenterfield Shire Council is looking for a
full-time Plant Operator
based in
Tenterfield, NSW
. The position plays a key role in delivering high-quality road construction and maintenance across the Council area.
More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Operating and maintaining Council Water Carts and other road plant and machinery
* Assisting with road construction, maintenance and general labouring tasks
* Performing daily user maintenance checks of equipment, including small plant
* Installing road signs, guideposts, and erosion control measures
* Conducting traffic control as required
* Maintaining accurate records using tablet/iPad systems
* Communicating effectively with the public and internal teams
* Ensuring all work is completed efficiently, safely, and to a high standard
Is This You?
To qualify, you will need a
Certificate II in Civil Construction
(or equivalent) and a
Heavy Rigid (HR) Licence
. A minimum of
2 years experience in road construction and maintenance
operations is strongly preferred.
Additionally, the following skills, background and checks will be highly valued:
* Certificate III in Civil Construction (or willingness to obtain – support provided)
* Safework NSW Traffic Controller qualification
* General Construction (White) Card
* Certificate of Competency for the type of plant to be operated
* First Aid Certificate
