First utilised as a mobilisation and training area during WWI, it was formally established in the early 1940s. Today, it is home to the Headquarters of the Combined Arms Training Centre, the Army Knowledge Centre, and the Schools of Artillery and Transport. The health centre services up to 4,000 Defence members and provides primary medical, aviation medical, nursing, physiotherapy, dental, pharmaceutical and mental health care. There is a 12-bed low dependency ward operating 24/7.
