About South West Aviation Services (SWAS)
SWAS provides a full range of ground handling services for airlines at the Busselton Margaret River Airport. SWAS is one of the business operations of the Margaret River Tourism Association (MRBTA) and has provided ground handling for more than 14 years.
As well as SWAS ground handling, MRBTA also operates caves, lighthouses, a high ropes adventure course, a bird of prey sanctuary, multi-site retail outlets, and visitor centres with a total workforce of over 100 staff.

About the Role
We are seeking a motivated individual with prior airline experience to join our high-performing Customer Service team as an Airport Movement Coordinator (AMCO). This role is primarily focused on supporting our Fly-In Fly-Out (FIFO) operations with Virgin Australia and Alliance Airlines.
While comprehensive in-house training will be provided, previous experience in the airline industry is essential. The AMCO is responsible for ensuring all administrative flight checks are completed accurately and efficiently, enabling aircraft to depart on time in accordance with the precision flight schedule.

In the role of AMCO, you will be responsible for:
* Providing the main point of contact between SWAS ground handling team and flight crews, both on the ground and in the air.
* The efficient use of a variety of different software programs, including Sabre and Amadeus, to complete the check-in and weight balance and ramp clearance aspects of the turnaround process.
* Liaising directly with the airline's operations and load control teams to ensure the clear and accurate communication of relevant information.
* Working with other key SWAS team members to manage resources and communications in the event of delays and cancellations, and to ensure the effective and smooth continuation of operations on behalf of the airline and passengers.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
* Inspect and verify passenger documentation and identification.
* Check passengers in and issue boarding passes.
* Process the boarding of passengers, finalise passenger paperwork, deliver paperwork to cabin crew, and confirm final passenger count prior to doors close.
* Communicate by radio with flight and cabin crew as required and under conditions of an AROC (Aeronautical Radio Operators Certificate).

* Be available to work any shifts as rostered according to flight schedules, which might fall on any day of the week.
* Display a level of fitness necessary to lift 32kg unassisted.
* Undertake a full pre-employment medical and be willing to be screened for drug and alcohol use as required.
* Be willing to undertake Federal Police clearance checks.
* Display commitment to representing the values of the Margaret River Busselton Tourism Association and its customer airlines.

After completing training as (AMCO) with Virgin Australia and Alliance Airlines, the successful applicant will have the chance to undertake training for Qantas and JetStar if they are seeking additional hours. This will also involve taking on weekend shifts. Currently, JetStar operates six times a week from Busselton, and Qantas runs three RPT services and two closed charters.
